Privacy Promise

Your data is not a product. It never will be. Here is exactly how we protect it.

Chapter I

Why Privacy Matters to Us

Why Privacy Matters

"The internet was built on a lie. Not a small one."

Somewhere along the way, "free" stopped meaning free. It meant your data, your habits, your life — packaged, sold, and profited from by companies you never agreed to work with. Surveillance became the business model. Privacy became the fine print nobody reads.

We built DigitalCitadel because we refused to accept that.

Privacy isn't a legal checkbox for us. It isn't a cookie banner slapped on a page to satisfy a regulator. It is the foundation everything we build stands on. Before we write a single line of code, before we design a single screen, we ask one question: does this respect the person using it?

If the answer is no, we don't build it.

Chapter II

Your Rights. Full Stop.

What We Collect

Under UK GDPR, you have rights — real, enforceable ones. Not suggestions. Not optional extras. Rights.

You have the right to know exactly what data we hold about you. The right to have it corrected if it's wrong. The right to have it deleted entirely. The right to object to how it's used. The right to take it with you if you leave.

We don't make those rights hard to exercise. We don't hide the process behind a form that takes three weeks and a follow-up email. You ask, we act. Simple as that.

Your data belongs to you. It always did. We just make sure it stays that way.

Chapter III

What We Collect & Why

How We Use Your Data

We believe in radical transparency. So here it is, plainly:

What we collect:

  • Your name and contact details — only when you reach out to us directly
  • Basic site analytics — anonymised, aggregated, no personal identifiers
  • Project-related information — only what you choose to share to get the work done

What we never collect:

  • Advertising data
  • Third-party tracking pixels
  • Behavioural profiling
  • Data we don't need

We collect the minimum. We keep it only as long as necessary. We never sell it, never share it with third parties for commercial purposes, and we never will. That is not a policy — it is a principle.

Chapter IV

Our Promise to You

Your Rights

These are not aspirations. These are commitments.

We will always:

  • Tell you clearly what data we hold and why
  • Respond to any data request within 30 days — usually much faster
  • Store your information securely, on our own Citadel infrastructure
  • Delete your data completely on request, no questions asked
  • Notify you immediately if anything ever goes wrong

We will never:

  • Sell your data. Not to anyone. Not for any price.
  • Use your information for anything beyond the work you asked us to do
  • Share your details with third parties without your explicit knowledge and consent
  • Hide behind legal language to avoid accountability

One studio. One standard. No exceptions.

Chapter V
